HOW CAN YOU STAY SAFE ON A JET SKI?

Although personal watercraft (PWC) such as North Myrtle Beach jet ski rentals can be a thrilling water-based activity it is also dangerous. The US Coast Guard (USCG), reported 634 injuries related to personal watercraft in 2018. 196 of these injuries were to children aged 19 and younger.

Broken bones, concussions and scrapes/bruises are the most common injuries. Operator inexperience, operator negligence, operator inattention and improper lookout were the most common causes of all accidents reported to the US Coast Guard (USCG).

Jet skis can be considered boats and must be obeyed while on the water. All individuals jet skiing must have successfully completed a boater safety course since January 2000.
