The Intracoastal Waterway Myrtle Beach is a popular tourist destination. Located on the south Atlantic coast, Myrtle Beach is widely known for its excellent seafood restaurants, wide beaches diversity of wildlife, and a wide range of recreational activities like riding a jet ski. It experiences more than 10 million visitors every year consisting of tourists from both north and south states. The area is also heavily developed when compared to other beaches in the south like Outer Banks. It is a favored destination for families. With the development of new roads such as Highway 31 and Highway 22, congestion has eased. The roads have also made it easier for tourists to discover other beaches in the area.
